Commercial Pilot Certificate
Commercial Pilot Program
The Commercial Pilot Certificate
allows an individual to receive compensation for flying. The flight
requirements to obtain the Commercial Certificate are a minimum of 20
hours of dual instruction. The pilot seeking the Commercial
Certificate must log 250 hours (Part 61) and be at least 18 years of
age. The Commercial pilot must have a 2nd Class Medical and pass the
FAA Commercial Aeronautical Knowledge Exam and the Commercial Pilot
Practical Test. A Commercial Certificate can be added to the Single
Engine or Multi-Engine Ratings.

The Commercial Pilot Ground Course is
an in-depth course highlighting all the areas of aeronautical
knowledge required for the commercial certificate. This course
includes advanced concepts in aerodynamics, aircraft systems, and
weather theory. This course prepares the individual for the FAA
Commercial Written Examination.
