Instrument Rating For most pilots, the next step is
obtaining an Instrument Rating, which allows a pilot to fly by
Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). An individual seeking the Instrument
Rating must have a 3rd Class Medical. The flight requirements to
obtain an Instrument Rating are a minimum of 40 hours of flight time.
This flight time includes a minimum of 15 hours of dual instruction
and 25 hours flight time with a qualified safety pilot. We also offer
an accelerated instrument program.
