PILOT COURSE PART 61
Every US licensed pilot is
issued his license through the FAA. and
allows a pilot to fly by Visual Flight Rules (VFR). The flight
requirements to obtain a Private Certificate are a minimum of 40 hours
flight time. This flight time includes a minimum of 20 hours of dual
instruction and 10 to 20 hours of Solo flight. To Solo, an individual
must be 16 years of age and have a 3rd Class Medical. The medical exam
is given by an FAA approved medical examiner. In addition to the
flight requirements, a student must pass the FAA Aeronautical
Knowledge Exam, be 17 years of age, and pass the Private Pilot
Practical Test.
